There’s plenty of coilover kits out there on the market today. You can find lower end coilovers on eBay and Amazon or higher end coilovers on boutique websites and everything in between out there on the web. For those of you guys who are looking to lower your car on a budget, Rev9 has introduced their line of Hyper Street ONE coilovers.
Rev9 Hyper Street ONE Acura TL Coilovers – Specs & Features
16 Way Adjustable – While coilovers do ride firmer than stock, you can set these anywhere from 0 (which is super soft) to 16 (which is the most firm). I always recommend you start off in the middle, in this case 8, and adjust from there. if it’s too soft, make it firmer, and if it’s too firm make it softer.
Comes fully assembled – Some coilovers require that you remove the top hats, but these Rev9 coilovers install right into your 04-08 Acura TL without having to take apart your old shocks and springs to remove the top hats. These include top hats already and make install a breeze.
Here are some key features and specs direct from Rev9:
- Ride Height Adjustable – Drops From 1 to 2.5 Inch From Factory Ride Height
- Damping Force Adjustable – 16 Levels From Soft To Stiff
- High Tensile Performance Springs – Over 600k Continuously Stress Test With 0.04% Distortion Rate
- Pillow-Ball Top Mount If Applicable Provides Sharp And Precise Handling
- Improve Overall Handling – Reduced Body Roll, Improve Acceleration And Braking
- Quality Assured – Full Year Limited Warranty From Date of Purchase
Rev9 Hyper Street ONE Acura TL Coilovers – Review
If you’re looking for cheap coilovers, you found them. These Rev9 coilovers for the 04-08 Acura TL are made to be an entry level coilover with enough features for most people. If your factory suspension is shot and you need to replace your shocks and want to lower your TL at the same time, these are great for you. Just keep in mind, in most cases, and this one too, you get what you pay for. If you have issues with the coilovers you’re going to be on your own as it’s going to be difficult to prove that the coilovers are defective unless they spew shock oil all over your fender.
